This past Saturday, Donald Glover a.k.a Childish Gambino joined the list of host-performers to pull double-duty on the SNL’s Studio 8H stage. The actor, writer and musician trifecta stole the show with his hysterical skits and melodic genius.

A star-studded opening sketch, with a guest appearance by Stormy Daniels, set the tone for the episode. But, it turned out to be Glover that took the SNL sketches by storm.

The eclectic performer acted in nearly every scene, debuted two new songs, “Saturday” and “This Is America” and launched the official music video for his newly released hit, directed by Hiro Maurai (Atlanta).

Glover’s pre-recorded skits “Friendos” and “A Kanye Place” induced a hilarious uproar over the weekend, generating responses of approval from none other than Chrissy Teigan and Kanye West.
