Mike Epps and Wanda Sykes are teaming up for the upcoming Netflix sitcom, ‘The Upshaws’. The duo will star in and executive produce the multi-camera comedy about a working class, Indiana family struggling to make it work.
The pair is recently coming off of their featured Netflix standup specials. This year, Epps launched ‘Only One Mike’ with the platform, as did Sykes with her two-time Emmy-nominated special, ‘Not Normal’.
In addition to Epps and Sykes, the sitcom’s executive producers include Dan Spilo, Paige Hurwitz and Niles Kirchner.
Regina Hicks (Insecure, Girlfriends) will join the cast.
