Tracy Morgan To Host SNL After Car Crash

Mark your calendars because Tracy Morgan is making his epic return to comedy

NBC officially announced that comedian and 30 Rock star, Tracy Morgan will host the October 17th episode of SNL (Saturday Night Live).  This will be a huge stepping stone for Morgan since it will be his first comedy appearance since he was critically injured in a car accident that took the life of his longtime friend and colleague, James McNair in June 2014.  This marks the second time the seven-year SNL cast veteran will host the show. Tracy Morgan was an SNL cast member from 1996 to 2003.

This past June, almost a year after the crash, Tracy Morgan gave a very emotional interview on the Today Show and assured Matt Lauer that he would return to work and stated “I love comedy,”  Morgan also said. “I’ll never stop loving her. I can’t wait to get back to her, but right now my goal is just to heal and get better ‘cause I’m not 100% yet. When I’m there, you’ll know it. I’ll get back to making you laugh, I promise you.”

Tracy Morgan is scheduled to host the third episode of the season.  This episode will be a highly anticipated one since viewers will be anxious to see Tracy Morgan make his triumphant return to comedy.

It has been a rough year for the comic Tracy Morgan, but with the love and support of all his fans, he is able to return to comedy and return to SNL where it all began.

Miley Cyrus will host the season’s opening episode and Amy Schumer will be making her hosting debut in the second episode.
