Last week HBO announced that the Chris Rock comedy special he directed for Amy Schumer will finally be airing soon. It’s been a minute since we’ve heard about Amy Schumer’s HBO special but that has been rectified. HBO has posted the first teaser from the special that was taped at the historic Apollo Theater in New York City on May 29.
So many people have been wondering, even Schumer had to joke, “Oh, when’s her hour special on HBO?”
Amy Schumer, the star of the Comedy Central series “Inside Amy Schumer,” has seen her popularity surge since its third season began in April. Some of her famous sketches include a parody of the NBC series “Friday Night Lights,” and an episode-long parody of the Sidney Lumet drama “12 Angry Men.”
Amy Schumer wrote and starred in the summer hit comedy, “Trainwreck” which was a huge success.
And with the legendary Chris Rock directing, there’s no one to stop Schumer from discussing everything from her private parts to her sex life or drug and alcohol use.
The special airs Saturday, October 17 at 10 p.m. on HBO.
