Written and directed by DJ Pooh, the Grow House movie features Lil’ Duval, DeRay Davis. Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, Faizon Love, Malcom McDowell and more.
Overall, the plot follows two stoners, Pat (DeRay Davis) and Darius (Lil’Duval), who join the medical marijuana business to settle their outstanding debt. On their quest to becoming legally certified growers, they encounter an array of hilarious obstacles. Anything that can ‘grow’ wrong, will ‘go’ wrong in this comedy of errors.
Recently, in an ironic twist, cast members caught heat while doing interviews with ‘Civilized.’ Mag. Literally. According to TMZ, the cast of the film reportedly lit up at L.A.’s W Hotel and set off smoke detectors. The act resulted in a hotel evacuation, complete with fire department response and disgruntled hotel staff.
If that’s not effective publicity, we don’t know what is.
The Hollyweed Films Production has received an 87% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
