Paramount Network will produce the ‘I Am Richard Pryor’ documentary, coming soon to the big screen. The production will follow Richard Pryor’s backstory, his iconic rise to fame and legendary career.
So far, the film has cast interviews with Lily Tomlin, Mike Epps, Tiffany Haddish, Howie Mandel, Sandra Bernhard and Jimmie Walker. The interview segments are to be integrated with Pryor’s standup/sketch footage from ‘The Richard Pryor Show’ and various TV specials.
Backed by Network Entertainment as part of the company’s ‘I Am’ series, the film is Executive Produced by the late comic’s wife, Jennifer Lee Pryor, Derrik Murray, Paul Gertz and Kent Wingerak with Director Jesse James Miller.
