The film, is written and directed by Jesse Andrews. Originally, the comedy is derived from a David Foster Wallace’s essay, “An Amazingly Fun Thing I’ll Never Do Again”.
In short, the plot follows an animal rights lawyer (Bill Hader) who is dragged along on a 45-day cruise by his widowed father. His cabin-neighbor, Michelle (Issa Rae), a ‘reclusive kindred spirit’, becomes an unlikely friend for Hader in his quest to win back his ex-wife.
