ABC is in talks of developing a new sibling comedy series starring Felipe Esparza (Last Comic Standing) and Dustin Ybarra (The Goldbergs & Gotham).
The project is currently untitled but will revolve around three very different siblings. Two brothers, played by Esparza and Ybarra live together under one roof in Boyle Heights, a working-class, predominantly Mexican-American neighborhood of Los Angeles. The other brother is striving to become mayor.
The comedy will be written by Peter Murrieta and Bobby Bowman and produced by 3 Arts and ABC Studios.
Adding a Latino family comedy has been a priority for ABC, which had the series Cristela, which Murrieta worked on as a writer.
