Last week, 27-year-old SNL comedian, Jay Pharoah, teamed up with SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels, Broadway Video and Comedy Dynamics, to release his first-ever comedy special,” Can I Be Me?”, which is being released as an album by Comedy Dynamics on August 8th.
Jay has always described himself as an outsider who didn’t fit in, which he says was the perfect preparation for a life in comedy and gave him the inspiration to do his first ever stand up special. Pharoah recently completed his fifth season on “Saturday Night Live”
In his special, Jay Pharoah weaves some of his most popular celebrity impressions into an hour-long set that includes his take on relationships, music and pop culture.
Pharoah’s most popular celebrity impressions include hilarious takes on Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Jay-Z, Barack Obama, Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Chris Tucker, Kanye West and more.
Showtime debuted “Jay Pharoah: Can I Be Me?” on Saturday, August 1 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
