Jay Pharoah sat down with The Breakfast Club to talk upcoming projects and career moves. His latest ventures include the launch of his new special, TV comedy series and horror film debut.
Pharoah has made plans for his standup to film in London with a tentative 2019 release date. In the meantime, he continues touring with Martin Lawrence on the LIT AF Tour. Comedians Michael Blackson, Deon Cole, Adele Givens, Clayton Thomas, Benji Brown and DeRay Davis also join him on the road.
To date, Pharoah considers Birmingham his best performance. The comedian discusses how he’s evolved, perfecting his craft and becoming even more comfortable on stage.
This year, Pharoah has also signed on for a new TV series ‘Champaigne ILL’. The show aired last week for YouTube Premium Originals, featuring co-stars Adam Pally and Sam Richardson.
Pharoah shocked fans this year with his decision to co-star in his first-ever horror film. His performance received rave reviews for his appearance as ‘Nate Hoffman’ in Steven Soderbergh’s psychological thriller, ‘Unsane’. The film was released in March 2018, shot solely with the iPhone 7.
