Kevin Hart And The Rock Team Up For ‘Central Intelligence’
New Line Cinema has brought on the dynamic duo of wrestler turned actor, Dwayne ‘ The Rock’ Johnson and comedian Kevin Hart to team up and star in the upcoming comedy film, Central Intelligence.
The film is set to be directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber – director of box office hits Dodgeball and We’re The Millers. While no official release date has been announced yet, filming has begun- which could suggest that the movie will end up being a part of the blockbuster-packed summer of 2016.
The film will center on Hart, a former high school athlete who lives an average life as an accountant. Things turn crazy, when former classmate (Johnson), once bullied by Hart, contacts him before their high school reunion. It turns out the loser who got picked on is now a hulk-like assassin for the CIA and needs help from his former tormentor to stop the sale of military secrets. Ed Helms, Bobby Brown and Danielle Nicolet are also set to star in the film.
As for Hart, his strategy of pairing up with big-name co-stars in his comedies is a smart one. Kevin Hart went down the buddy cop route when he starred in the comedy Ride Along and he’s already set to do it again in its sequel, Ride Along 2 set to release in 2016.
