Last Friday (May 3, 2019), Ice Cube made a LIVE announcement on ESPN’s ‘The Jump’ that the fourth installment of the Friday series is coming soon! Initially, Cube visited the studio to discuss 2019 draft results of his BIG3 Basketball League.
When confronted about a tweet he had made 3 days prior to his show appearance (in honor of the OG film’s 24th anniversary), Cube confirmed that the fourth Friday movie is definitely happening. He went on to dish about the timeline and where they’re at in the production process.
To the 24 years that have flown since this came out, all I gotta say is… BYE, FELICIA

Shortly after the segment aired, Cube followed up with the tweet, ‘Told y’all it’s coming…#Friday’. Allegedly, the script is finished and currently in studio review (soon to be followed by pre-production and casting).
