Damon Wayans is returning to multi-camera comedy with a new project at ABC for a new Don-Reo-created family sitcom, ‘Let’s Stay Together’.
‘Let’s Stay Together’ will star Wayans as a single father who finds out it’s hard to get rid of millennial kids, and their kids. The sitcom is said to be loosely based on the comedic aspects of Wayan’s own parenthood experience.
The series is written and executive produced by both Wayans and Reo. The pair are just coming off their most recent collaboration for ABC’s most successful comedy series, ‘My Wife and Kids’ (five seasons running).
Wayans reportedly plans to return to standup scene this Fall (Oct-Dec 2019) for his ‘It’s Personal’ comedy tour. Wayan’s critically acclaimed HBO specials, ‘One Night Stand’ (1989), ‘The Last Stand’ (1990), ‘Still Standing’ (1997) and ‘Way Out’ (2010) continue to garner mass attention.
