The NYE Comedy Festival is coming to KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, KY on December 31, 2019 @ 8PM – with comedians Mike Epps, Sommore, Lavell Crawford, Earthquake and Kountry Wayne.
Mike Epps is just coming off of his fifth self-produced standup special, ‘Only One Mike’ (Netflix, 2019) and recently released hit-single ‘We Goin’ Out’. Last year, Harper Collins published Epps’ memoir, ‘Unsuccessful Thug: One Comedian’s Journey From Naptown To Tinseltown’. His signature humor is showcased in the iconic hit films Friday After Next (2002), All About The Benjamins (2002), Janky Promoters (2009) and Meet The Blacks (2016). This past year, Epps starred in a handful of popular films including, The Last Black Man In San Francisco (2019), The Trap (2019), House Next Door (2019) and How High 2 (2019). His memorable standup specials Inappropriate Behavior (2006), Funny Bidness (2009), Under Rated…Never Faded & X-Rated (2009), LIVE From Club Nokia (2011) continue to draw laughs from his loyal, growing fan-base.
Sommore, aka ‘The One Chandelier’ recently released her 4th self-produced comedy special ‘A Qyeen With No Spades’ (Showtime, 2018). Deemed ‘A force to be reckoned with’ by Oprah Winfrey, Sommore is most commonly known for her appearance in The Original Queens of Comedy as well as the hit films ‘Friday After Next’ (2002), Soul Plane and Dirty Laundry. Sommore’s signature standup sets have been performed on Def Comedy Jam, Showtime At The Apollo, ComicView and BET LIVE From L.A.
Lavell Crawford launched his most recent standup special ‘New Look, Same Funny!’ this year with Showtime. Crawford is most known for his roles in the hit TV series ‘Breaking Bad’, series spin-off ‘Better Call Saul’, ‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’ and ‘Workaholics’. He has also been featured in the films ‘The Ridiculous 6’ and ‘American Ultra’. Crawford made his career debut on NBC’s ‘Last Comic Standing’ and was also featured in J-Kwon’s ‘Tipsy’ music video.
Earthquake just recently made appearances on the hit TV series ‘The Neighborhood’ (2018), ‘Rel’ (2018) and the film ‘Armed’ (2018). Earthquake has performed on Comedy Central Presents (2003), Def Comedy Jam (1995-2008), Laffapalooza! (2008), All Star Comedy Jam: LIVE from South Beach (2009), Way Black When: Primetime (2011), Centric Comedy All-Stars (2013), Comics Unleashed (2009-2014), All Def Digitals Roast Of America (2016) and Def Comedy Jam 25 (2017). His specials These Ain’t Jokes (2014) and About Got Damn Time (2005) have generated national attention. Quake has appeared in the films Clerks II (2006), The Longshots (2008), Something Like A Business (2010), Boosters (2013), Barnyard (2006), Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens (2016) and Busted (2017). He has also been a part of John Witherspoon’s celebrity roast and Shaquille O’Neal’s All-Star Comedy Jam. His TV appearances include Everybody Hates Chris (2007-2008), In The Cut (2017) and Face Value (2017).
Kountry Wayne got his start in comedy on social media, after going viral in 2013. His hilarious videos and content garnered an audience of over 4 million followers across Facebook and Instagram. Wayne has toured nationally for his ‘Gift of Gab’ and ‘Child Support Tour’ performing standup in over 150 cities. He has also appeared on Nick Cannon Presents: Wild N’ Out (2018) and has been a featured guest on The Breakfast Club AM (2017).
