CBS has given a pilot green light to Living Biblically, a new kind of comedy sitcom, based on the bestselling book The Year of Living Biblically created by Patrick Walsh and executive-produced by the Big Bang Theories Johnny Galecki.
The plot centers around Chip Curry, a married film critic and expectant father who decides to start living in complete accordance with the Bible to become a better man after the death of his best friend.
The series stars Jay R. Ferguson, Camryn Manheim, Lindsey Kraft, David Krumholtz, Ian Gomez and Tony Rock.
Tony Rock plays Chips co-worker and friend who is quick with a reality check and likes to make fun of Chip for his own amusement.
Living Biblically premieres Monday, Feb. 26 at 9:30/8:30c on CBS.
