Mike Epps & Katt Williams are hitting the big screen together for the first time in 15 years. The comedians co-star in the upcoming urban comedy-thriller, ‘The House Next Door’. The film is a direct sequel to ‘Meet The Blacks’ (2016) and spoof on ‘Fright Night’ (2011).
‘The House Next Door’ follows Carl Black (Epps) – a best-selling author who moves his family to his childhood home so he can find the peace to write his new book. When an extravagant pimp (Williams) moves into the neighborhood, Black (Epps) draws his own conclusions. He convinces himself that the man (Williams) is actually a vampire bent on stealing his family.
The film is directed by Deon Taylor, Roxanne Avent and Robert F. Smith.
The original ‘Meet The Blacks’ (2016) cast members are returning for the sequel. Bresha Webb, Zulay Henao, Andrew Bachelor, Lil Duval, Michael Blackson and Tyrin Turner join Epps and Williams for ‘The House Next Door’.
This will mark Mike Epps and Katt Williams’ second collaboration since co-starring in ‘Friday After Next’ (2002).
Producer Deon Taylor stated, “Mike and Katt are so comedically explosive together. I don’t know how we’re going to keep it together on set with these two at the top of their game. Audiences responded well to ‘Meet the Blacks’ so we’re happy to give them another dose of dysfunction with, ‘The House Next Door’.”
Mike Epps recently wrapped filming for ‘The Trap’ with T.I. and Queen Latifah. Epps wrote, co-produced, and starred in the film.
Katt Williams will appear in the Owen Wilson and Ed Helms comedy, ‘Father Figures’ (2018), to debut in December.
‘The House Next Door’ begins shooting next week in Atlanta, GA.
