For two days, ten of the entertainment industry’s hottest comedy headliners will front the 8th Annual Atlantic City Comedy Festival. For its eighth consecutive year, Atlantic City prepares to experience humor on an unprecedented level. The festival returns to Boardwalk Hall on Saturday, October 7th and Sunday, October 8th.
The stage has been set for top comics to thrive in their element. Atlantic City serves as the backdrop for an extraordinary weekend of laughs. The acclaimed boardwalk, beautiful beaches, exuberant nightlife, niche shopping and world class hotel-casinos make for an unforgettable Columbus Day Weekend. Last year’s production attracted almost 50,000 fans to Atlantic City’s Historic Boardwalk Hall. The festival returns to feature the biggest comedy circuit contenders of 2017.
Returning as part of the 8th Annual Atlantic City Comedy Festival is actor and comedian Mike Epps who has exploded on the comedy, TV and film scene with multiple upcoming roles. His latest film features include, “Acts of Violence” with action-mogul, Bruce Willis. He also co-stars alongside T.I. in “The Trap”, to begin filming in May 2017. Epps is most known for the hit films Next Friday (2000), Friday After Next (2002) and The Hangover (2009). Sommore is highly regarded in stand-up comedy, most known for The Queens of Comedy (2001) and comedy specials The Queens Stand Alone (2007) and Chandelier Status (2013). Sommore has also headlined the Royal Comedy Tour for five consecutive years. Comedian, Earthquake has also appeared on the Royal Comedy Tour and on the Festival of Praise. Fan favorite Tommy Davidson stars in the comedies, Juwanna Mann (2002) and Bootycall (1997). Adele Givens is best-known from The Queens of Comedy (2001). Don “DC” Curry was featured in Next Friday (2000) and Friday After Next (2002) with Mike Epps. George Wilborn generated his comic fandom by appearing on the Michael Baisden Radio Show.
